SCHEDULE | SUNDAY – MONDAY (2 DAYS)
Love fashion and homewares?! We're looking for an outgoing, friendly team member to join Paper Plane! You'll be based in our storefront, helping customers, keeping the store looking amazing, and sharing your passion for design and style. If you're reliable, energetic, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we'd love to hear from you!
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS –
- looking for long-term work (minimum 1-year commitment)
- happy and able to work occasional full weekends, public holidays and over Christmas / New Year's (store closed 1 Jan)
- additional hours available in December, if desired
WHO YOU ARE –
- warm, approachable, and a genuine people person, eager to welcome and assist customers
- thrive in retail and passionate about fashion and homewares
- reliable, organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- strong written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for presentation
- critical thinker, self-motivated, and professional under pressure
WHAT YOU'LL DO –
- primary focus on customer engagement and sales (build lasting relationships, offering gifting, home decor, and wardrobe solutions)
- maintain a high standard of shop presentation through regular cleaning and upkeep
- maintain up-to-date product knowledge
- assist with visual merchandising
REQUIRED SKILLS –
- must have 1+ year of previous experience in retail homewares and/or fashion
- confident with Mac, POS systems (bonus if you've used Lightspeed!), Microsoft Office and web-based apps
