This is Not a Carrot by Dylan Hewitt
This hilarious and thought-provoking picture book challenges the relationship between images, words, and reality, encouraging thoughtful discussions about perspective.
Hungry Bunny is overjoyed when they find a carrot on the first page. But when Bunny bites into it, they realise that the carrot is made of paper and can't be eaten.
The second carrot does not calm Bunny's rumbling stomach either, as the black-and-white drawing can simply be erased.
When the third carrot proves inedible, Bunny is at their wits' end.
That's until Bunny realises that Bunny isn't real either, so there's no need for a real carrot!
